Soldier Patrol!

What a trip!

On Thursday 20th April, Year 4 took a trip to the Dewa Centre in Chester!  We went on patrol with a real soldier and explored the museum!

Mylan: It was very funny when we found out that the Romans used to wipe their bottoms with a sponge on a stick.

Ryan: This is the best trip I have experienced so far. My favourite part was the exciting entrance to the museum! It was dark and amazing!

Lewis:  Did you know that the Romans used to wash themselves with olive oil?

Nadia:  I loved the part when we were pretending to travel back in time.

Yu-Geun: We went to a coliseum and watched a real gladiator fight! Don’t worry, it was just Mrs Cryer and Miss Costello with plastic swords!

Lyla: My favourite part was when everyone shouted “JUGULAR!” and Miss Costello had to have her head cut off!

Phoebe: The soldier tried to chop my head off too!

Anum: Can you imagine that the Romans used to put honey on bandages to help the cast stick together?

Sreeja:  I thought it was very interesting to see the excavations that had been made in the cellar of the museum.  We saw real Roman floors and artefacts!

Jessica: I loved this bit because we got to dust off artefacts and search for treasure in the sand.

Besan: The tour guide got us involved and I had to help on one of the patients who had to have her arm bandaged! OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
